The Call Manager is the IRON Suite server which manages call admission and call to SIM routing. It provides, centrally, innovative value-added functions to your GSM gateways deployment. It centralizes key routing decisions based on auto-learning and information received from the SIM Manager. It determines the most appropriate routing to increase your margin. Once the call is placed to the GSM network , it is monitored by the Call Manager to detect ring tones, voice or announcement and then optimizes call routing by managing False Answer Supervision (FAS). In addition, the Call Manager includes some key features such as the capability to filter unattended calls as well as monitoring call proceeding.

EFFICIENT CALL termination
All VoIP calls originated from your customers that are directed to the GSM network go through the Call Manager. Not only does the Call Manager choose the right gateway but also the right SIM card to terminate the call in the most efficient way. The Call Manager manages SIM selection per call and offers a reliable and cost effective way to manage, monitor and control the call termination solution from a centralized location.
REAL-time sim card map
As the Call Manager shares the SIM card map with the IRON SIM Manager, it knows exactly in real-time the capacity deployed in terms of number of ports per provider.
So any SIM price plan or SIM allocation capacity change will be immediately detected by the Call Manager which will dynamically adapt the call routing to GSM gateways to reflect this.
billing enhancement
No need to collect Call Details Records (CDR) for each individual gateway anymore, the Call Manager collects the CDRs for all gateways and stores them on its hard drive disk with easy access.
dynamic routing based on auto learning
The Call Manager keeps track of all calling and called numbers in order to build a call acceptance database. This database contains fundamental information on called/calling numbers and their profiles. When a call attempt is made, the Call Manager looks up the acceptance database in order to get the calling and the called number profile. The call can be directly refused if the called number is for example unallocated or can be routed to the most appropriate SIM card.
Management and administration
The Call Manager has a real-time visibility of GSM port status. All call and SIM status information is viewed from the IRON Call Manager administration interface: GSM level reception, SIM card registration, status, engaged call.
